AQUAWOOD CLASSIC
Wood stain
Characteristics
Without unpleasant odours. Thin-film semi-transparent coating for wood protection and decoration in indoor and outdoor exploitation conditions. Its properties include easy workability and high yield. Quick drying. Without unpleasant odours. Ecological paint – very low content of volatile organic compounds.
Substrate Preparation
Substrate has to be hard, dry, free of grease and other impurities. Before application of AQUAWOOD CLASSIC, it is recommended to polish the wood to obtain smooth surface. To keep the good appearance of the wood longer, AQUAWOOD PRIMER for wood should be applied that penetrates deep into the wood and protects it against degradation. The primer represents, at the same, time a bridge binding the substrate and the applied material, creating a stronger bond and reducing consumption of material.
Application
Mix well before use and then shake again to ensure as good homogenization of the compound as possible. After that apply AQUAWOOD CLASSIC in two layers, evenly, in the same direction to obtain a uniform coating. Drying time between two layers should be from 4 to 6 hours, depending on the temperature and relative air humidity. Polishing with fine-grit sanding paper is recommended between the layers. Applied using a brush or a trowel. Optimal air and substrate temperatures during application and drying should be from +10°C up to +30°C, and relative humidity should be under 80%. Do not work in wind, rain, for or in direct sun. Wash tools with water immediately after use. Skimming compound in its original, well sealed and undamaged packaging may be kept for a subsequent use.
Consumption
0,7l≈7-10m2 in one layer, depending on the substrate absorption and roughness.
