Substrate Preparation
Substrate has to be hard, dry, free of dust, grease and other impurities. Loose surfaces should be removed. Treatment of humid and permanently humid walls is not recommended-. Before the material is applied walls must be impregnated with PODLOGA KONCENTRAT primer (dilution ratio: PODLOGA KONCENTRAT: water=1:3). The drying time of the PODLOGA KONCENTRAT is around 6 hours, after which the application of the first layer of GLET C may start. PODLOGA KVARC primer is recommended for smooth concrete surfaces.
Application
GLET P is a ready-to-use compound meaning that it only needs to be mixed before use and applied to the wall. GLET P is applied in two layers using a flat stainless trowel. The thickness of one layer should not exceed 1-1.5 mm, with the overall thickness of two layers being max. 2.5 mm. After the second layer, small-grit sandpaper should be used for polishing, if needed, in order to obtain as even surface as possible. Optimal air and wall temperatures during work and drying should be from + 100C up to + 250C, and relative humidity should be under 80%. Wash tools with water immediately after use. Skimming compound in its original, well sealed and undamaged packaging may be kept for a subsequent use.
