Skimming compound
Characteristics
Excellent resistance.
White powdery compound based on white cement, mineral fillers and additives. Designed for fine levelling of interior and exterior walls. EN 998-1-GP CSII WO skimming compound for general use.
Substrate Preparation
Substrate has to be hard, dry, free of dust, grease and other impurities. Loose surfaces should be removed. Treatment of humid and permanently humid walls is not recommended-. Before the material is applied walls must be impregnated with PODLOGA KONCENTRAT primer (dilution ratio: PODLOGA KONCENTRAT: water=1:3). The drying time of the PODLOGA KONCENTRAT is around 6 hours, after which the application of the first layer of GLET C may start. PODLOGA KVARC primer is recommended for smooth concrete surfaces.
Application
Use a 4 kg bag (20 kg) of GLET F per cca. 1.5 l (7.6 l) of water and mix using a slow-speed mixer until a homogeneous compound is obtained. Leave such material to rest for about 10 to 15 minutes and then mix it again. The working time of the compound is 2-3 hours. GLET F is applied in two layers using a flat stainless trowel. After the second layer, fine-grit sandpaper should be used for polishing, if needed, in order to obtain as even surface as possible. Optimal air and wall temperatures during work and drying should be from +5°C up to +25°C. Wash tools with water immediately after use.
