FASSADE RM - V
Mineral polymer façade
Characteristics
Extra white.
RM-V is a one-component powdery compound based on cement, lime, mineral fillers and additives. It is designed for decoration and protection of interior walls and ceilings. It can be used for exterior walls, too, where the building is relatively well protected against precipitation (wider entablatures and similar).
Substrate Preparation
Substrate has to be solid, dry, free of dust, grease and other impurities. All coatings need to be removed from old substrates, after which the surface should be carefully dusted (washed with warm water if necessary). Major uneven surfaces should be repaired and filled with adequate levelling compounds. Before the application of RM-V, the walls need to be impregnated with PODLOGA UNIVERSAL product. The PODLOGA UNIVERSAL primer represents, at the same time a bridge binding the substrate and the applied material, creating a stronger bond and reducing its consumption.
Application
Use a 25 kg bag of RM-V per cca. 5.8 l of water and mix using a slow-speed mixer until a homogeneous compound is created. Leave such material to rest for about 5 minutes and then mix it again. The compound’s working time is around 2-3 hours.
RM-V is applied using a stainless trowel according to the grain thickness, to obtain a grainy structure on the surface. After several minutes (depending on the temperature), perform circular scratch coating using a plastic trowel or hard styrofoam, and then, if you want to, level it using a clean trowel. The material should be applied evenly and without interruptions on continuing surfaces in order to avoid unevenness due to surface joints.
In case of multi-storey buildings, façade is applied without interruptions on one side of the building, starting from the top stories down to the lower ones. After application (7 days of drying) in normal temperatures, it can be painted using one of the façade paints. UNIFAS AKRIL, UNIFAS SILIKAT, UNIFAS SILIKON for exterior walls or MOLERIN PRAKTIK, MOLERIN CLASSIC, MOLERIN A, MOLERIN VP, MOLERIN LATEX for interior walls.
Optimal air and wall temperatures during work and drying should be from +5°C up to +25°C.
Avoid working in direct sun, wind and rain. Use protective sheets.
Wash tools with water immediately after use.
