D3
D-3 class adhesive for wood
Characteristics
Exceptional bonding power.
Adhesive for wood made on the basis of polyvinyl acetate binders. Used for gluing elements when higher moisture resistance is required i.e. requirement of the D-3 group, EN 204. After drying, the adhesive is transparent, so that the bonded joints do not see. Its properties include exceptional bonding power.
Substrate Preparation
Substrate has to be hard, dry, free of dust, grease and other impurities. Cement and cement-lime mortar substrates should dry for at least 1 day for each mm of thickness (T=20°C, rel. humidity 65%), whereas concrete surfaces should dry for at least one month. Recommended conditions of use: temperature of room and elements to be glued around 200C, relative air humidity around 65%, and wood moisture content around 8-12%.
Application
The adhesive is applied on both sides that are to be glued, evenly on a clean substrate, free of dust and grease. The glued elements are put in vise for 1-2 hours. The glued joints will attain their maximum strength after several days (depending on temperatures and humidity).
