KERAFUG C
Grouting compound
Characteristics
For joints of the width of 8 mm.
Recommended for grouting wall and floor ceramic tiles, just like stone in indoor and outdoor exploitation conditions, where the width of joints does not exceed 8 mm. Its properties include good surface resistance and water-repellency. KERAFUG C is not designed for filling expansion joints. EN 13888 CG1 standard cement-based grouting compound.
Substrate Preparation
Substrate has to be hard, dry, free of dust, grease and other impurities
Application
Add 2 kg of KERAFUG C per cca. 0.5 -0.6 l of water, mix thoroughly using an electric mixer and leave to rest for around 5 minutes; then mix again to obtain a pasty compound without lumps of appropriate consistency. KERAFUG C is applied to the joint area using a rubber spatula or a rubber trowel at the angle of 45° with respect to the joint direction. KERAFUG C should be pressed into the joint to fill it well. After 10-15 minutes, use a damp cloth or a sponge to remove the remaining grout on the tiles and then clean using a dry cloth. The compound’s working time is around 2 hours.
Optimal air and wall temperatures during work and drying should be from + 50C up to + 250C, and relative humidity should be under 80%. Do not work in wind, rain, fog or in direct sun. Wash tools with water immediately after use.
Consumption
≈ 0.5-0.7 kg/m2, depending on the joint width and dimension of tiles.
Packaging
2 kg containers, 120 pieces, 1 pallet = 240kg
